Kurt,
Thank you for commenting .. you helped generate another post from me on this subject <a href="http://www.quilldesign.com/blog/index.cfm/2008/10/2/Google-Base--Every-little-bit-helps-especially-with-Google-Checkout">Google Base</a>
I understand you when you question why would you want someone to leave your store, but many stores are carrying the Google Checkout and many customers are using it, wouldn't you hate to loose even one sale because of t his?
I don't think we should offer every payment method available, but Google Checkout as I pointed out has some nice additional perks if you are using the variouis solutions. It all depends on what you are trying to do, it is not for everyone.
I've looked at ProPay.com, but we haven't gone forward with any integration (ie in v4), we'll be looking for v5 of maybe adding in a hook there.
Thanks for keeping up with the site!

Glad to hear that.
"It is not like paypal where you can accept paypal directly on your site ..."
I think customer leaves the website to pay on Paypal. Which Paypal integration you are talking about? Standard or the Pro?
What's the fees for this integration?

We are talking about the IPN where the person leaves your site AFTER the checkout and placing the order to go to Paypal to pay.
With SiteDirector you can complete the order through the normal checkout and then go to Paypal.
Where Google Checkout you have to go directly from the cart page to the Google Checkout solution.

I wonder if using Google Checkout effects your website rankings positively on the Google search engine results.

I would think not, if that were the case, everyone would be using it .. though it does affect them on the google base shopping pages, ie you can view stores that only use Google Checkout, which would weed out everyone us.
I don't think it is a bad thing ... I am not fond of how they are doing it, but it does work pretty smoothly.
"But be aware, the customers do leave your site and it is NOT like another payment method (ie Visa, Master Card, Paypal ect..) it is a complete checkout process at Google."
Which is why I'm not sure why anyone would want to use it on their site. It seems like it would make it more confusing to some customers.
Have you had a chance to look into Propay.com integration?
