Alex's Gravatar Hello. We are having a problem with your cart and the integration with UPS. When you go to check-out the amount is not the same amount that is given on the UPS site.

We have multiple carts that utilize UPS and this is a problem on all of them.

We need a solution to this problem ASAP. Please reply or email me back.

Clients are losing money through shipping.

Paul Giesenhagen's Gravatar For a quick fix, edit your /components/shipUPSController.cfc

Add/Update the following:

<PickupType>
<Code>01</Code>
</PickupType>
<CustomerClassification>
<Code>04</Code>
</CustomerClassification>

This should be done around line 43 ... we'll have this update in our next release v4.91

Kurt's Gravatar I haven't added that code and my ups calculations seem pretty accurate.

@Alex

There are a couple things I noticed. I believe there was a couple places to enable residential shipping calculations. It was in either shipUPSController.cfc or shipingcontroller.cfc.

2nd. Be careful how you enter the product weight. At first I was entering 4.50 if the item weighed 4 and 1/2 pounds. But really the cart assumes 4.5 equals 4pounds 50 ounces! So if you want 4.5 enter 4.08.

Alex's Gravatar Thanks for the quick fix. After further investigation we found the following information that might be helpful when others try to troubleshoot this problem.

The Rates and Services Selection Tool has the following values available for Pickup Type:

01 – Daily Pickup
03 – Customer Counter
06 – One Time Pickup
07 – On Call Air
11 – Suggested Retail
Rates
19 – Letter Center
20 – Air Service Center

The default is '01 - Daily Pickup'. Based on the description you have provided of your account, the '07 - On Call Air' would match an account type that is printing their own labels and dropping them off at a UPS Store. If you are not writing he code yourself, you will need to contact your shopping cart provider and ask them to change your account type to '07 – On Call Air'.

Paul Giesenhagen's Gravatar Kurt,

You're correct about the weight conversion .. we will be changing that in v5, but not in v4 ... in one world it made sense, in many other worlds it was confusing.
