About QuillDesign
The Beginning
QuillDesign started in 1999 as a spin off company of (OutdoorSite) which was purchased by Bass Pro Shops. At the time, we had web development customers and we needed a company to manage them since OutdoorSite was no longer ours. In response, we started QuillDesign and merged existing customers to the new company.
Early on, we were purchasing shopping carts and developing/customizing them for our customers. Finally with the ease and power of Coldfusion, we began developing a shopping cart for our own customers. As we developed v1 we decided it would be something we could distribute and started building our business around that product.
Fast Forwarding
Over time, we have released a number of versions of SiteDirector our ecommerce package and it has continually grown. We have yet to stop developing on it and we are excited about the future of our ecommerce solution.
Who and Where?
QuillDesign's offices are in Rogersville Missouri, just outside of Springfield Missouri. We are a small shop with developers in house and telecommuting developers across the country.
Because of our location, we have reached out to some of the best developers and creative minds to harness a solution that we feel is powerful and easy to use.

At Quill, we don't stop at just ecommerce, we can tackle any type of web application, website design or ecommerce solution you have. We do plenty of customizations to SiteDirector, as no two businesses are a like and our customers require specific needs which we can offer from our base platform.
